First Look Review
The Hyundai Elantra was officially launched in Pakistan on March 21, 2021, by Hyundai Nishat Motors Private Limited. The event was organized in Lahore and marked Hyundai’s serious entry into the competitive Pakistani Sedan market. A joint venture between Hyundai Motor Company and Nishat Group, was handling both launching and producing the Elantra locally. The production of the Elantra is carried out at Hyundai Nishat’s modern assembly plant located in Faisalabad.
The Elantra initially came in the GLS 2.0L variant, offering a strong alternative to rivals like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Later, a more affordable GL 1.6L variant was added to the lineup. This move further strengthened Hyundai’s position in the growing eco-friendly vehicle segment. The Elantra’s launch and production reflect Hyundai’s commitment to providing advanced, feature-rich sedans to Pakistani consumers.
