Overview:
It is hear by that Punjab Government has launched Free Vehicles Emission Testing booths in Lahore. The project is launched in collaboration with Environment Protection Agency (EPA). It is organized by EPA and Punjab Government in many cities. As Lahore has been seen as the most populated city so, the main focus is on Lahore.
They aim to make a pollution free and clean Lahore as it is the Heart of Pakistan. Although it is the City Of Gardens but due to carelessness and uncountable vehicles on roads, Lahore has been facing too much pollution for last few years. Punjab Government took step for the betterment of Lahore and this project was launched at 24 May, 2025.
Emission Testing Locations:
The testing booths are at more than 60 places in Lahore. You can easily visit following locations as per you current location.
- Mall Road: Istanbul Chowk, Town Hall Parking
- Lake City: Al-Kabir Town, Raiwind Road
- Kahna: Patwaar Khana, LDA Road, Gajumata
- DHA: Packages Mall
- Gulberg: Liberty Gol Chakkar
- Johar Town: Emporium Mall
- Wapda Town: Near Evercare Hospital
- Shahdara: Rescue 1122 Office, GT Road
- Wahga Town: Police Station Manawan, GT Road
- Bahria Town: (Evening only)

- Vehicle Ownership-Original Vehicle Documents (Recommended)
- Punjab registered Vehicles
- Registration book/card
- CNIC of vehicle owner (or driver’s CNIC)
- Vehicle must be in Use
Instructions
- No Appointment:
You can visit the nearest booth in operational hours. No need for any appointment or charges. - All Vehicle Types Accepted
Cars, motorcycles, rickshaws, vans and small commercial vehicles are eligible.
Both petrol and diesel. - Free Testing
Testing is free Until June 30, 2025. After that they may charge fee and non-compliance will lead to fines. - No Age Limit
Older vehicles (10–15+ years) are especially encouraged to participate. - One Test per Visit
There will be only 1 check in 1 visit.
Purpose:
As Lahore has been observed as the most polluted city for last few years. keeping this in mind Punjab Government in collaboration with EPA took step to control pollution. Punjab Government took many steps to control pollution. One of them is to control poisonous gasses emitted from vehicles. To control the smoke and emission of vehicles they launched free vehicles emission testing in Lahore. So that we may enjoy a better and clean Lahore with clean and pure environment.
