Overview:
It is hearby that Punjab Government in coorporation with Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) and Excise and Taxation Department has taken a step to crackdown against fake, unregistered and fancy number plates accross the province. Acting upon the direction of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Traffic Punjab, Mirza Faran Baig and traffic police all across the province is advised to take strick action against the violators. There wil be legal action including FIRs and seizing vehicles for the violators.

Why This Crackdown?
The primary reason for this cackdown is to make tracing of vehicles easy. Moreover, As most of the unregstered and fancy number plates are used in criminal activities and due to this, it was difficult to trace the criminals and to take legal action. So the government of Punjab focused on the base and took this step of crackdown of fake and fancy number plates across the province.
Such plates hinder the performance of surveillance systems like ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras, making it difficult to track vehicles involved in crimes or violations. Moreover, illegal plates are frequently used by unregistered or stolen vehicles, posing a serious security risk. So the government of Punjab focused on the base and took this step of crackdown of fake and fancy number plates across the province.

- IF you have any fake or fancy number plate, replace it with Government Approved Official Plates.
- Make sure that the digits are clearly visible and easily readable.
