Yamaha announces discontinuation of motorcycle production in Pakistan with after-sales support guaranteed.

Yamaha Closed Bikes Production In Pakistan

Overview

Karachi – Yamaha Motor Pakistan (Private) Limited has officially announced that it will discontinue motorcycle manufacturing in Pakistan.

In a notice published on the company’s website and social media platforms, Yamaha cited a change in business policy as the reason for its decision to exit the Pakistani market.

Yamaha started motorcycle production in Pakistan in 2015 at its plant in Bin Qasim, Karachi. The company invested heavily and aimed for high output. However, sales dropped, prices rose, and spare parts became scarce. As a result, Yamaha faced tough competition and shrinking demand. Even though challenges grew, the company kept raising prices and adjusting to taxes. At times, temporary closures happened, mainly during COVID-19. Yet production never fully stopped, and Yamaha still continues operations in Pakistan.

Discontinuation of Manufacturing

Yamaha Motor Pakistan announced that it will discontinue motorcycle manufacturing in the country, citing a change in its business policy. The company expressed heartfelt gratitude to its customers for their trust and loyalty over the years.
